UTME: Jamb set to prosecute admission process violators.

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had said that it will cooperate with security agencies to fish out any institution found violating its admission code of operation and then prosecute them.

In its latest Weekly Bulletin, the JAMB board made this announcement. It was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja.

The board explained that candidates that are found guilty would face prosecution once a prima face case has been filed against them.

The board explained that after the management conducted a meeting on the imperative of ridding the admission process of malpractices, they made this crucial decision. Professor Is- haq Oloyede said that measures were taken to contain the admission violations.

Although the Central Admissions Process System (CAPS) has made the admission process fair and transparent, the registrar noted that some stakeholders were trying their best to go around the system.

“The board, with zero tolerance for corrupt acts, will not fold its arms and allow corruptible elements to drag it back”, he said.
