The world oldest football player, Kazuyoshi Miura, is really to play at age 54, his Japanese team stated on Monday. The club said he will keep on play till after extending his contact for another season.
Kazuyoshi, popularly know as King Kazu, is set to play his 36th season after beginning his career in Brazil with Santos in 1986.
The season begins the next day after his 54th birthday on February 26.
“My aspirations and my passion for football are only getting bigger”, he stated.
Miura appeared four times in the J-League in Last season, which his club secured promotion at the end of 2019 for the first time since 2007. (dpa/NAN)
