House Democrats introduce impeachment resolution, charging Trump with ‘incitement of insurrection’

The House Democrats have finally introduced their resolution of impeaching President Donald Trump on Monday, and charging him with “incitement of insuranction” for his participation on the riot last week at the US Capitol.

The impeachment resolution that the House is planning to vote later this week is going to be the Democrats first step on making Trump the first in history president to be impeached twice.

The House also made a Monday move by urging Vice president Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment to take Trump away from power, but the House Republicans stopped the request.

The single impeachment article, was introduced when the House gaveled into a brief pro-forma session Monday, facing Trump’s false claims that he won the election and his speech to the crowd on January 6 before the riot in Capitol. It also repeats Trump’s call with the Georgia Republican secretary of state where the President urged him to “find” enough votes for Trump to win the state.

The resolution of Government say, “In all this Trump gravely endangered the security of the the United States and it’s institutions of Government”.
“He threatened the integrity of the Democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transition of power, and imperiled a coequal branch of Government. He thereby betrayed his trust as President, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.”

Democrats David Cicilline of Rhode island, Jamie Raskin if Maryland and Ted Lieu of California, who introduced the resolution also cited the Constitution 14th Amendment, nothing that it “prohibited any person who has engaged in insuranction or rebellion against’ the United States” from holiday office.

Nancy Pelosi, the house speak, today the House Democrats on Sunday evening that the House will be able to proceed with the impeachment resolution this week if Pence move to invoke the 25th Amendment with a majority of the Cabinet to remove Trump from power.

This was the first time Pelosi said on her letter that the House would take up impeachment on the floor this week, thought it was clear that the House is has quickly merge around an impeachment resolution in those days following the riot at the Capitol where five people lost their lives, including a US Capitol Police officer.
